Impact Statement - Sierra Leone

WE CANNOT DEAL WITH POVERTY WITHOUT ADDRESSING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE." - PJ Cole, Queens Young Leader, Head of Lifeline Nehemiah School

PJ worked for an early age to help rebuild the lives of children in Sierra Leone. At only 13 himself, PJ was a class teacher to over 60 children. PJ is part of the team that founded one of the first social enterprises at Lifeline Nehemiah Project School where he is now the Executive Director and remains committed to the lifelong betterment of young SL’s.

This is a community where 70% live below the poverty line, and students graduating from University in Sierra Leone cannot find work because they lack IT skills. The IT Lab provides these skills in the early years of their education and offers students the chance to lift themselves out of poverty and live better futures.
